A voluntary specification on the ” Specification for Documentation” for use bycompanies in the rail sector. This specification is applicable for all types of railway vehicles.In order to operate and maintain railway vehicles over its lifetime it is necessary to obtain and maintain allrelevant documents. The documents shall provide all information needed for safe operation, maintenance,repair, material management and modification of the vehicle. It is also used as a proof of compliance with(international) regulation for supervisory authorities and fulfils the mandatory documentation requirements, e.g.as defined in directive 2008/57/EU (Article 18). This EuroSpecprovides a commonspecification for the documentation to be delivered by the supplier within the framework of rolling stockprocurement.This specification is an add-on to the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI).
