The purpose of the future Eurospec Doors is to provide a common reference for the specification of Passenger Access Doors in rolling stock, to be used by operators for tendering and verification. Current door systems in Europe show many differences in design and functionality. Despite the publication of the most recent TSI and EN 14752, standardisation of door products is limited. This new specification is dealing mainly with the standardisation of these functions and will contain requirements at system level, and will unify the identified functions and components of different train operators.
